Groundwater Chemistry at Deep Aquifer in Koyra: Khulna, Bangladesh

چکیده
Koyra (Khulna District) is the coastal Upazila of Bangladesh and very susceptible to salinity intrusion. The surface shallow tube well water in naturally saline. quality subterranean deliberate area hardly presented for different Unions Koyra. Dakshin Bedkashi Union saline prone. Therefore, groundwater chemistry was determined legalize if fit drinking irrigation or not. Spatially dispersed 30 samples were collected from deep aquifer (550 700 feet depth) December, 2016 analyzed physico-chemical properties. outcomes compared with WHO, USEPA BBS standard FAO purpose. pH varied 6.73 8.33, indicating that within WHO standard. TDS showed a long range variation (230.5 2052.0 ppm) an average 841.23 ppm, which 33% sources exceeded value. mean value 0.65 (±0.43) ppt EC 1,400.9 (±904.18) µS cm-1. loads key ions ranked as Na+> Ca2+> Mg2+> K+ HCO3-> Cl-> SO42-> NO3-> PO4-. Piper diagram demonstrated existing hydro-chemical facies Na+-Cl--HCO3- Na+-Ca2+-HCO3- type. Gibbs illustrated chemical arrangement mainly misrepresented by rock weathering. Silicate weathering profuse process along study area. Wilcox proved greater allowable suspicious irrigation. core component analysis ensured suspension sea intrusion primary source groundwater. controlling factors typically related geologic factors, while anthropogenic have not any momentous effects.

Temporal variability of groundwater chemistry in shallow and deep aquifers of Araihazar, Bangladesh.
Samples were collected every 2-4 weeks from a set of 37 monitoring wells over a period of 2-3 years in Araihazar, Bangladesh, to evaluate the temporal variability of groundwater composition for As and other constituents. The monitoring wells are grouped in 6 nests and span the 5-91 m depth range. Concentrations of As, Ca, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Na, P, and S were measured by high-resolution ICPMS with a...

Fecal bacteria are frequently found at much greater distances than would be predicted by laboratory studies, indicating that improved models that incorporate more complexity are might be needed to explain the widespread contamination of many shallow aquifers. In this study, laboratory measurements of breakthrough and retained bacteria in columns of intact and repacked sediment cores from Bangla...
